Mijas Golf Holiday Apartments In Spain

The El Limonar Complex

El Limonar de Mijas Golf is nicely situated alongside the third tee of the Los Lagos course.

Unusually for amodern complex it is at the bottom of a hill, not stuck right on the top of one! This makes the garden and pool area sunny but sheltered from the wind.

The apartment design is light and airy, and as the building layout is in one long line none of the apartments are overlooked by their neighbours. This means that many of the terraces are very private if you wish for some seclusion.

The lush gardens are well tended by our two resident janitors, Román and David. They have been employed by the community since the very start and they take great pride in the appearance of the whole community area.

The Large Communal Pool

Román is very proud of the fact that the swimming pool is always spotlessly clean and we receive many favourable comments from guests about this. From 2010 the swimming pool has been changed to the revolutionary new Poolsan© chlorine free treatment system for the water. This means that there is no chlorine smell and no irritants. The water is also very soft and sparkling which makes it far kinder to your skin and eyes.

On one side of the building is the Los Lagos golf course, many of the apartments have stunning views of the first three holes. The ground floor apartments, and those on the first two floors at the top end of the complex - portals 7,8 & 9 - have no golf views, but still have great views over the gardens. This is due to the fact that the course is on a raised level, about equal to the first floor balconies.

The other side of the building looks out over fruit trees and an unworked olive grove. The views stretch all the way up towards the white mountain village of Mijas and the mountains beyond.

All apartments have access to underground parking for security and safety. Lifts lead directly to each floor from the garage area.

Within walking distance is a small shop which sell newspapers, milk, bread, and all those little essentials that seem to run out at the most inconvenient time! Within a couple of minutes drive are two mini-markets which are open 7 days a week from around 9am to 9pm.

There are four restaurants within a ten minute walk ranging from cheap (15 euros a head including wine!) to more upmarket with extensive menus.

And if you want to drive or take a taxi your choice or restaurants is almost endless, at the last count in Fuengirola alone there were over three hundred catering to just about every taste. You wouldn't get to all of them if you dined out every night for a year!
